Why do we believe that making things bureaucratic, complex, and inaccessible is a form of respect? Why do we assume that by making certain actions cumbersome and time-consuming, we’re somehow adding value or reverence to them?

In our modern world, everything else is designed to be fast and easy—drive-through meals, one-click rides, deliveries at our doorstep in hours. Convenience has become our ultimate goal. We demand immediacy, simplicity, and comfort in every corner of life. Yet when it comes to things that supposedly "matter," we make them burdensome and inaccessible. We wrap them in red tape and layers of protocol, as if difficulty alone lends them dignity.

Easy Pet Drop Box asks why we cling to this belief. Why should respect mean inconvenience? Are we truly honoring responsibilities by complicating them, or are we simply holding onto outdated ideas of worthiness and respect? This project challenges the idea that difficulty is equal to dignity.

If we can make daily essentials so easy, what stops us from extending that same ease to acts of responsibility and compassion? Easy Pet Drop Box forces us to question whether every meaningful act needs to be painstaking, or if respect could, perhaps, find a new form—one that is both accessible and thoughtful.

Let this project serve as both a critique and a reflection. Perhaps it’s time to rethink where reverence lies and to redefine respect beyond the constraints of inconvenience.
